Turkestan region

Turkestan region (kaz. Түркістан облысы, until 2018 - South Kazakhstan region)
Kazakhstan region.

The region was established as the South Kazakh Region on March 10, 1932 and was renamed the South Kazakhstan Region in 1936.

The region is located in a sharply continental climate zone. Fertile soils, abundant sunlight and wide pastures create great opportunities for the development of various agricultural branches, especially irrigation agriculture and pasture cultivation in the region. High crops yield crops of cotton and rice, as well as gardens and vineyards.

The Turkestan region is considered the stepfather of all Turks. As the poet Magzhan Zhumabayev said, The gates of two worlds, the Cradle of the Brave Turk ("The Cradle of the Brave Turk").

Every nation, every independent state should define their own spiritual center.
The spiritual center of Kazakhstan is the city of Turkestan.
