Akim of the region Umirzak Shokeyev once again visited construction sites in the city of Turkestan and observed the progress of work there. The head of the region instructed to give priority to domestic and local construction materials. He warned that the quality of construction is under strict control. Umirzak Estayuly visited the construction site of «Caravan Saray», one of the main projects that will become a brand of Turkestan. The multifunctional tourist complex, located on a territory of more than 20 hectares, will be put into operation at the end of March. There is a cinema, a flying theater, an oriental market, an amphitheater, international hotels, restaurants, and an artificial lake. The view of the ancient city has been preserved in a unique project serving the welfare of residents.
The complex, which was undertaken by the Turkish company “Sembol Construction” within the framework of a public-private partnership, is being built by international requirements. This project has no equivalent in Kazakhstan. The hotels visited by the head of the region have more than 100 rooms, recreation areas, and fitness centers. More than 500 workers were mobilized for construction.
The head of the region visited the Yasawi Museum. The construction of the three-story facility has been completed, and qualified designers have been involved in the interior work. The total area of the skyscraper, built near the mausoleum, in the spiritual and cultural center of Turkestan, where tourism is a priority, is 3,000 square meters. In the future, 100 people will be employed here.
Akim of the region visited the regional scientific and universal library. The center of education will have a study hall with 400 seats. The total area of the three-story building exceeds 8,000 square meters. The library will have a collection of 250,000 books.
